Discussion Questions

Here are some Discussion Questions that can used when talking about the topic of abortion, the value of a life, etc.

• What would you do if you were faced with an unplanned or unwanted pregnancy?
• What would you tell a friend that told you she was faced with an unplanned or unwanted pregnancy?
• What the pro’s and con’s of: 1. Adoption   2. Abortion   3. Parenting
• Define “valuable”
• When have you felt valued? Whats valuable to you?
• Where do you find your significance?
• Have you ever had something beautiful come out of something ugly in your life?
• Do men have “choices” just like women?
• What is the role of the father during an unplanned/unwanted pregnancy? Does he have a say?
• If you have had an abortion, do you feel forgiven?

 

Spiritual Discussion Questions:

• Read Psalm 139. When do you and when do you not believe this is true about yourself?
• Read Jeremiah 1:5. God knew us before we were born…What does that mean to you? Is this significant to you today and why?
• When Jesus said to care for the orphans, does that include the unborn?
• What is the role of a mother and a father? What makes someone a “mother” or “father”?
• When have you seen God make something beautiful out of something that was ugly and/or sinful?
• If you have had an abortion, do you believe God’s truth about forgiveness? Have you accepted that forgiveness? Can you forgive yourself?
