What if we left those around us BLESSED & BETTERED?
“Let No One Ever Come to You without Leaving Better and Happier” Mother Teresa I cant think of a better example of someone who has done this consistently and made their life about doing this…leaving every person that came to her better and happier! What if we did this?
In today’s society we are all so caught up in our own lives that we don’t think about how our actions or words affect people. As humans we don’t stop and think about what a simple smile or hello could do for someone. Have you ever struck a conversation with a complete stranger and thought you were having a bad day and walked away with a smile because of something that he/she said?
We all have our ups and downs but in the end we need to all come together as one. It is better to leave someone with a happy memory of you and you get rewarded with a happy memory too. Blessing others blesses us!!! When we get together with friends and family we remanence about the good times and laugh and everyone has a story to tell about someone. Those are our footprints that we have made in other people’s lives. They are rewarding and forever embedded in our hearts as well as others. When we go out into the world today let’s all remember that a simple smile or kind word of encouragement just may make someone’s day and you never know, they just make your day too.

God showed me this the other day there is always someone in a worse situation than me and by encouraging others we ourselves are blessed.
This is so true, Claire! Sometimes, when I am out and about and someone at the check-out line seems to be grumpy, I automatically get defensive, like why are they acting like that? But, God has been changing my heart and opening my eyes to something. You never know what people are going through in their lives, that person could have just gotten divorced or lost a baby, or so many other things that we never know about. How far a simple smile, a word of encouragement, a compliment can go in someone’s life. And you’re right…it leaves us SO BLESSED!
My Uncle Tim has been such an encouragement to me since losing Lily. He sends me a text message each day, with either a Scripture verse or an uplifting quote. Today’s quote reminded me of this post:
